Why ascento
We help HMO's, Families and individuals defeat dementia

About us
Ascento Medical specializes in the field of Dementia and Alzheimer’s treatment.
To this day, there is no available cure for Alzheimer’s.
Families had to face the eventual decline of their loved ones.
We developed a solution that uses AI and the experience of expert neurologists that gives Alzheimer’s patients new hope.
Our treatment is proving advantageous, with thousands of patients already experiencing a significant improvement in their lives.
Previously, Alzheimer’s meant a guaranteed decline to death.
Ascento’s Solution changes that, Finally giving patients a new chance at life.
Proven Method
Our solution is improving the lives of thousands of patients
Professor Eli Wertman, a well-known neurologist out of Hadassah Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel, has been developing a treatment method that allows successful treatment of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
His passion for successful aging has guided him to treat patients. Dementia is a complex phenomenological syndrome with acquired multiple cognitive and behavioral deficits that interfere with everyday activities-occupational, social, and other comport mental functions to the level of loss of independent life and full dependence on caregivers.
Patients are suffering from chronic stress and lower threshold to medical conditions. The method establishes a unique correlation between the specific memory decline, Multi Morbidity situations, and other information collected regarding the patient’s current and past medical conditions.
By treating specific morbid conditions, the method allows us to slow down the deterioration pace and freeze or even improve a patient’s condition.
Facing that among the elderly, the medical status is a function of the complex system, the body constitutes, with the constant tendency of cognitive decline, remarkable.
The method also locates potential risk factors to be dealt with immediately, thus bringing risk management to unprecedented levels. In a recently conducted survey, we found that more than 60% of previously treated patients reported improvement or stabilization of their situation!
1000+ cases in Database
Power in numbers
For the last ten years, Prof. Wertman and his team have treated several thousand patients, 1000+ cases of which out are in our DB.
We are probably one of the only companies in the world that hold such precious information.
As our system grows, we collect more and more data, which will drive our AI to provide better treatment plans.
New diagnoses and treatment programs will be built on the analysis of the previous cases while comparing with those generated by the solution.
Our solution guides professionals to deliver a real treatment, based on the integration the most updated, medical research in the field.
Data driven services
Continuous improvement
We are developing a self-testing tool,
to allow early warning of the appearance of the disease.
Based on the data collected,
we will help people understanding their situation:
Are they ill, or could there be a different explanation for their decline? Facing that only 50% of patients seek treatment, engaging people early on and for free, should create improvement of this and funnel people into treatment early-on.
Another objective of data-driven services is to refer patients who are probably wrongly diagnosed to appropriate treatment elsewhere.
Boosting with AI
Opening up new opportunities
Our method is based on an in-depth understanding of the correlation between vast quantities of information from various sources, such as Neurology, Geriatrics, Neuropsychology, Cardiology, and more.
By analyzing the information, we are able to establish a solid diagnosis and generate a set of treatment recommendations for clinicians to implement.
Telemedicine and Wearables
Improving patient mobilization and –monitoring
One of our key objectives is to protect patients from the environment of pandemic and other threats. Also, in many cases, patients prefer a more embracing environment than hospitals and clinics.
In order to accomplish this, we are integrating Telemedicine as an integral part of the solution.
Monitoring patient from their home facing that some parts of the practice can be done distantly Within Home Care and similar setups,
coupled with Telemedicine’s integration, the frequency of visits at clinics can be minimized, thus guarding patients against exposure to diseases, epidemics, and other threats.
This also entails wearables to collect vital information about life signs, sleeping habits, physical activities, and much more.
By feeding the solution with this information, we can improve the diagnosis and ensure patient involvement.
Cope with Scarcity of Neurologists
Growth of Dementia patients’ proportion of the population - outnumbering growth of medical doctors
According to the WHO, the number of Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients is close to 60 million, and 10 million new cases are detected each year. Meanwhile, the global number of neurologists is not growing fast enough. In order to cope with this, Ascento’s solution is designed to delegate the treatment procedure between multiple professionals to utilize time efficiently.
Saving time and effort by handling logistics and planning, with a Neurologist leading each case, the system schedules multiple clinicians to undertake their share in each patient’s treatment plan.

Prevention
Improving patient mobility and monitoring
By deeply analyzing and understanding the causes for the decline of patients, we expect to prevent deterioration at a much earlier stage of Dementia.
Our unique solution allows us to recognize signs of decline at earlier stages than ever before.
Currently, we’ve found several indications of early warning capabilities in the method. However, we understand that to create reliable prediction tools, we need to monitor patients in a highly disciplined environment that allows complete mapping of cognitive, medical, and wellness states.
Cope with Scarcity of Neurologists
Growth of Dementia patients’ proportion of the population - outnumbering growth of medical doctors
According to the WHO, the number of Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients is around 60 million, and 10 million new cases are being diagnosed every year. On the other hand, the number of Doctors isn’t increasing fast enough to meet the rising demand.
Ascento’s Medical’s solution is designed to ensure the highest quality of treatment, by delegating treatment procedures between neurologists, geriatric doctors, general doctors, and nurses. Throughout the lifetime of a case in the system, each practitioner will undertake their part of the patient’s treatment and monitoring. We anticipate that the Case Manager is a neurologist who then mobilizes other clinicians, thereby coping with scarcity while maintaining the needed medical care.
Constant learning
Thriving to improve
By teaching our AI about treatment programs coupled with Case Management information, we can bring forward adaptive treatment methods to better fit our patient’s medical & environmental needs.
Medical staff receives recommendations from our system, which they may alter to fit a specific patient better
Our system allows for modification and will be able to adapt accordingly.
Over time, the system will learn and be able to provide a broader range of tailored treatment plans, improving success rates.
Future research
Understanding there is much more to be learned.
Being able to prevent the emergence of Dementia better is the top priority.
Increasing treatment efforts is essential, in addition to understanding cross-interference with drugs, lifestyle, nutrition and genetics.
Multiple research option are now being conducted on improving the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Focusing on improving treatment and prevention of Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
We are building our solution to support new research, including the implementation of APIs to integrate new knowledge, faster.
Together, we can improve dementia treatments and discover new drugs and treatment methods.
We encourage researchers to approach us to discuss joint research programs.
